In future Nokia will come up with more smartphones that have metallic casing.

Nokia had just an hour back formally announced a new Windows Phone 8 based smartphone - Lumia 925 and during the question answers session neither denied or confirmed a New series of smartphones ending with 25 numbering.

Responding to a question, related a new series of smartphones ending with 25 numbering, at the press conference of unveiling of Lumia 925, Jo Harlow, Nokia's executive vice president said that she will not confirm the development of a new series as lot of permutation and combination goes behind launching a new series of smartphone but she added that she will not deny it also.

Going by what Nokia has done in past related to Lumia 810 ( 610, 710)series and 920 ( 520, 620, 720) , we can surely expect something similar in context of latest Lumia 925 series.

In terms of launching Lumia 925 with a metallic casing Jo Harlow said, "On earlier occasion we have offered choices to customers in form of plastic body and this time we are offering them metallic body and in future we will come up with more smartphones that have metallic casing."

Nokia Lumia 925 brings a fresh approach to the chassis materials used for the smartphone. The new Lumia 925 is mere 8.5 mm thick and weighs about 139 grams along with the battery. Compared to that, the Lumia 920 is about 10.7 mm thick and weighs 185 grams.

Inside the aluminum chassis, Nokia has packed a dual-core 1.5 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro mobile processor coupled with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. The Lumia 925 flaunts a 4.5-inch Amoled display and sports 1280x768 pixel resolution natively.

Major changes are made in the Imaging department where Nokia has used the 8.7 megapixel image sensor with PureView technology as the one used in Lumia 920. However, the optimization comes in the lenses where Nokia has added a layer of glass lens as the sixth lens with the regular five plastic lenses in the image sensor. We were kind of hoping for Carl Zeiss optics but as of now the Nokia hasn't shared any such details.
