Nokia Lumia 920: Latest Mobile 2013
The Nokia Lumia 920 received a firmware update, version 1308 recently but in spite of bringing some improvements to the Windows Phone 8 flagship model, it has made the matters worse.
A post on Reddit is overflowing with stories of Nokia Lumia 920 users who are facing problems maintaining a connection to AT&T. One disappointed user explained how his phone goes through the entire range of connection possibilities, from LTE with full bars, to EDGE to no service to 4G. All this takes place at one time only. As per one Nokia Lumia owner whose phone has been running over EDGE pointedly cited, “This can't be normal."
As time went on, more owners of the Lumia 920 shared their confusion.
"Same thing here, "All day it's showing no reception then back to LTE. My L920 was even on the Edge network for a while. This can't be normal."
"Ever since the update my LTE keeps dropping to no service and back in areas where I used to have excellent service. And then today my phone froze for the first time. This 1308 update is awful. I wish I could revert back"
The problems come as Nokia released a firmware update for AT&T customers in the U.S. The update, known as "SW 1232.5957.1308.0001," includes an enhancement to proximity sensor parameters, improved automatic display brightness adjustment, and performance improvements. The specifics for the "performance improvements" were not outlined.
